Won prize-winning places at the 80th International Student Scientific and Practical Conference

In the period of May 15–16, 2026, intern doctors of the Department of General Medical Practice-2 of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy participated in the 80th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists titled “Achievements of Fundamental and Applied Medicine and Pharmacy,” held at the Samarkand State Medical University in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 The conference was organized in an offline format and included the publication of scientific articles as well as presentations at sectional meetings held on May 15.

From the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, intern doctors of the Department of General Medical Practice-2 participated with the following scientific works:

1. 🏆🥇 Intern doctor Turgynov M. presented a report on the topic “Internet Addiction in Children.” According to the conference results, Turgynov M. won 1st place 🥇🏆, demonstrating a high level of scientific training and the relevance of the chosen topic.

2. 🏆🥉 6th-year intern doctor Rezhep A. B. presented a scientific work on the topic “The Impact of Energy Drinks on the Cardiovascular System.”

Scientific supervisors: Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Dosybayeva G. N., Master of Medical Sciences Taskynova M. A., and Abdieva B. M. The work was carried out jointly by the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy and Samarkand State Medical University. According to the conference results, Rezhep A. B. was awarded a 3rd-degree diploma and a medal 🥉🏆.

The students’ scientific research work was supervised by the Head of the Department of General Medical Practice-2, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Dosybayeva G. N., Master of Medical Sciences Taskynova M. A., and Abdieva B. M.

The preparation of participants was carried out with the active support of the department staff, which made it possible to достойно represent the academy at the international level. We express our gratitude to the Rector of the Academy, Zhanna Serikzhanovna, and the administration of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy for providing the opportunity to participate in the international conference.
