WORLD SKILLS REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP REPORT

From 13.05 to 16.05.2025, by order of the Department of Education of the city of Shymkent, the regional championship "World skills Shymkent-2025" on the competence "Medical and social care" was held. The regional championship "World skills Shymkent-2025" was held among students of medical colleges of the city of Shymkent in order to improve their skills in the specialty "Nursing".

A 3th year student of the SMIKB group took part from the medical college at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy-11-01-22 specialty "Nursing", qualification "Applied Bachelor of Nursing" Baigabyl Akmerei Bakytbekkyzy. The teacher of the Department of "Nursing-1" Kadyrova Zhanar Nurzhaukyzy was appointed to prepare the student for the competition. The instructor was also included among the of the Regional Championship.

The regional championship "World skills Shymkent-2025 on competence" "Medical and social care" was held in 3 modules:
Module A. proven patient care in the postoperative period in a hospital setting.
Module B. emergency care for a patient with acute bronchitis in a day hospital.
Module C. patronage of an elderly patient at home.
Within each module, participants demonstrated theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The assessment was carried out by experts on checklists, after which the results were summed up.

The student Baigabyl Akmerei Bakytbekkyzy took the 2nd place and became the silver medalist.
