By Order No. 154 of the Rector of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy JSC dated September 30, 2025, the Dean's Office of Internship and Graduate Employment was reorganized, and the Career Department was established on October 1, 2025.
The Career Department supports the professional and career development of the Academy's students and graduates, enhances their employability, and facilitates successful employment. The Department ensures interaction with employers, provides information and advisory support, and conducts monitoring and analysis of graduate employment.
Our Goal: to develop an effective system for supporting the employment and enhancing the employability of students and graduates, expanding their professional and career opportunities, and strengthening cooperation between SKMA JSC, employers, and healthcare organizations.
Key Objectives:
- facilitating the employment of students and graduates of SKMA JSC;
- enhancing the employability and competitiveness of graduates in the labor market;
- monitoring and analyzing graduate employment indicators;
- organizing cooperation with employers and healthcare organizations;
- organizing and conducting job fairs, career days, meetings, and employer presentations;
- providing individual and group consultations on employment and career development;
- supporting graduates on issues related to individual placement and fulfillment of mandatory work obligations;
- collecting and systematizing information on job vacancies and the staffing needs of healthcare organizations;
- conducting employer surveys and analyzing their satisfaction with the quality of graduate training;
- participating in the development of proposals aimed at increasing graduate demand and employability.
Main Areas of Activity:
1. Graduate Employment
The Career Department monitors the employment of graduates at all levels of education and provides assistance in job searching and interaction with potential employers.
2. Career Development
Career consultations, meetings with employers, job fairs, career days, and other activities aimed at developing professional and career competencies are organized for students and graduates.
3. Interaction with Employers
The Department develops cooperation with healthcare organizations, government agencies, medical and pharmaceutical organizations, as well as other employers on issues related to specialist training and graduate employment.
4. Graduate Placement and Mandatory Work Obligations
The Department provides organizational and information support to graduates on issues related to individual placement, mandatory work obligations, independent employment, submission of required documents, and other matters in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5. Monitoring and Analytics
The Department monitors graduate employment, analyzes the demand for specialists and the staffing needs of healthcare organizations, and studies employers' opinions on the quality of graduate training.
